Lovely deception: 100 word story

“Rahul, What did you do? Planted a tulip next to a daffodil? Now I have to do it all over again”, Revathi got annoyed with her husband.

Rahul was secretly pleased with the turn of the events. As expected, Revathi would be busy for the next one hour in the garden. He needed this time to implement his plan.

After an hour of gardening, when Revathy arrived at the front door exhausted, Rahul ambushed her.

“Happy valentine’s day!“ shouted Rahul, holding the cake he had baked for Revathi in that one hour.

All is fair in love and war: -)

  1. That’s a strange way to surprise his wife, make her work so he can bake the cake? I’m just glad she didn’t get angry and punch him for making her do the work. 😀 Well told.

  2. Thoughtful surprise ..if that is the only way he could get her out of the house. Maybe bringing home a little decorated cake to give her may have been more tasty to her…but, perhaps she didn’t mind working in her garden and appreciated the fact that he would make something special for her himself. It probably depends on the two people involved and their relationship. Still a sweet story..😄

    • Thanks, Jessie, for the wonderful comments. Per my story, the lady loves gardening and her husband wanted some private time so he can prepare her the cake. So, he creates a situation where she spends time in the garden while he gets his work done 🙂

I'm all ears. Tell me.
