As she stood at the lighthouse enthralled , the waves crashing the shore applauded her victory , the cool breeze soothed her past troubles, the vast ocean reflected her free spirit, and the dark blue sky made the scenery surreal.
At that moment her entire life flashed before her eyes: how her wanderlust rusted while she survived an abusive marriage, raised children, and worked at two jobs to make ends meet; how she secretly kept saving money ; how she left her husband after her children became financially independent; and how she finally got the courage to realize her childhood dream.

Love these. You can feel how free and happy the woman now feels. I hope she will still see her kids a lot! I would think they would be twenty or in their twenties so it was the right time for her to leave and fullifill her dreams.
Thanks so much for your encouraging words, Amanda 😊

Thanks a lot,PH 🙂
Stories like these have a special place in my heart. I love it when characters escape a world they feel to be a prison and become who they really are, or become a better version of themselves. Makes me happy. Bravo to you. Great tale.
Thanks so much for your kind comments.
You’re quite welcome. 🙂
