Captain America was searching for his shield all over the place.

Wonder woman had chocolate smeared all over her face.

Superman needed a diaper change.

Spiderman needed some pocket change.

While I was helping these adorable superheroes, Batman tugged my sleeve asking “Can you please tie my shoe lace?”

Fall in the park#Humor#Limerick

We went for a stroll in the park to enjoy fall

Out of nowhere came a speeding ball

I stooped down and yelled ‘Duck!’

He looked around searching for a duck.

Alas! I couldn’t stop his fall.

The speciality of the above limerick is it uses homonyms . (‘duck’ and ‘fall’) . Homonyms are words with multiple meanings.

My love for pizza #limerick

As I savor  a slice of pizza with soft melted cheese

my diet plan goes on a freeze; my friends tease

Fitting into my jeans would be a tight squeeze,

But my love for pizza will never cease.

Just one slice wouldn’t appease; I say “One more slice, please”.

Say ‘Boo!’ to your fear #Limerick

Sometimes, life frightens you till you are  doomed to  fail,

Sometimes, life threatens you till you break-down and wail,

Then,  say ‘Boo!’ to your fears ,

Say ‘Bye!’ to your tears,

And fight your way back to create a victorious trail.

Holiday Sale! # Limerick

buying-15810_640

A skeleton outfit or a Christmas misfit; A spring wear or a swimming gear

Masked as a Holiday Sale, season after season, when you appear

I won’t rest until you are bought

Whether I need you or not.

As you keep piling up in my closet, I wonder why I buy you year after year.

Getting into shape is a terrible tussle,

Not even the rain could stop her struggle.

With Mama out of the house,

her spouse went to drowse,

while the kids followed her to jump in the puddle.

To wear a long skirt that stays or to flaunt a mini skirt that sways

To eat homemade rice or to get restaurant takeaways

To speak in English or to falter in mother tongue

Unable to decide, between two cultures, she hung

This ‘American Born Confused Desi’ is bewildered always.

Once again, I tried my hand at magic,

Once again, I hope it doesn’t end up tragic.

Forgive my stew which made you spew.

Forget my brew which gave you flu.

Once again, be brave to  try my pie which looks fantastic.
